Monday - Jan. 16

No school, day off.....what could be better than that. I had a 9:00 dentist appointment, at 8:10 it hit me that I better get up and movin'. I made it with time to spare - luckily there was little traffic. From there went to JoAnn fabric to get some Color Stay.....I needed to wash a quilt today for the first time......I hadn't used Color Stay before and wasn't sure where to get it. Found out you get it at the grocery store where I went immediately after JoAnn Fabric. Stopped at some other places and ended with a pedicure/wax.....ahhhhhh.

Thumbs up on Color Stay.....the quilt looks great!

Am working on the final round on a block for the Add-a-Border bee. Again, another great idea that takes hours and hours and looks like it took five minutes. I have two sides finished and two more to think about.

Another Trick

I got up early, checked the computer for any pressing messages and decided to "try" to link a bee to my sorry blog (what kind of language is that?). It worked.....I really didn't have to do a thing. Today I'm planning to fininsh a Red/Aqua 2 block....started last night after I reread the directions....part were on the computer and part were sent. Once I put the information all together it all made sense. I must learn to read everything before I start.....

Had some great white chili at a guild board meeting yesterday afternoon, I'll share the recipe with you all when I get it.

Yipee.....password recovered, log in remembered, time to update this thing, so all is well in the world. Didn't feel like sewing tonight, don't know what thats about. Long day at school and much to do all day. Stopped at JoAnn Fabric on the way home....remodeling is going on and it doesn't look good. The store always seemed nicely layed out....fabric was upstairs, now it's all downstairs and looks like every other Jo Ann store. Didn't find a thing. I worked on my etsy store tonight, still don't have fabric listed but I'm thinking about it. Also tried to figure out how to put buttons on my blog, etc. That'll have to wait until another day.

Thought I'd finish a quilt tonight and then maybe make one spider block just for fun. It's now 12:20 a.m. and I'm still sewing! I'm still waiting for most of my Mondrian block from the Red/Aqua swap.....have most (all but two) from A Spider Bee.....the modified Bento Boxes for the Red/Aqua II swap are looking really good. I'd like to get the tops all put together by Christmas so I can take them to my favorite quilter.
